Defomed Female Mallard

I was at a pond in a local park and saw this deformed duck.  She was doing fine. I think that her leg was broken and set incorrectly. I think this because it is the correct size and color, and it moves when she moves her other leg. It didn't seem to bother her.
Here is some footag of her.

Leucistic Canada Goose

I have seen this goose multiple times (I posted the story about a year ago). I think that this goose hangs out with a flock that lives near my house. From a scientific point of view, you can use this as a way to track and learn about a goose flock that lives where you live. From what I have observed, this goose interacts normally with the other geese in it's flock. There does not seem to be any rejection of it by the other birds.  I would call this goose leucistic, and not albino, because it has some color, and its eyes are not pink. When some thing is albino it has NO pigment in its feathers/skin. This bird is leucistic because there is some color in its feathers.

Leucistic- The partial lose of pigment that results in pale to white color in the feathers.

Why I love Gull Photography

Why I love Gull Photography--
I love Gull Photography because they are so many of them, that are bold, and they are lazy.
Once when I was a little kid living in California, a big Greater Black Backed Gull jumped onto our picnic table and stole my corn dag right from under my nose.

Here are some of my photos-----

Brown Creeper

Today, I saw a Brown Creeper. This is the third time I have seen one. The first time was at a place called the Margery Adams Audubon Sanctuary. The second time was in Los Angeles, CA, and the third time was back at the Audubon Sanctuary. This is the first time I got a good picture of one.

Building Bird Houses Part 1- Chickadee House

Well, today I built a bird house. The bird house was for a chickadee. The first thing I thought about before I built the house was, "Where do chickadees live?" They live in tree hollows, so what would better replicate that than a long narrow bird house? But before I built the house, I used a staple gun to staple some chicken wire to the inside of the house so the bird could get out.

Bird ID #4

I love trying to identify birds in pictures.  Here's the fourth of my bird identification challenges.  I'll give you a hint: Look at the belly.
